Verdane provides flexible growth capital to fast growing software, consumer internet, energy or high-technology industry businesses. Verdane funds are distinctive in that they can invest either in a single company, or in portfolios of companies.
Verdane funds always seek to deliver more than capital to the businesses they invest in. Based on deep sector knowledge, Verdane works closely with the management teams of companies to help accelerate organic and non-organic growth. The businesses benefit from Verdane’s extensive networks across Northern Europe and beyond. These enable introductions to potential partners, key management hires, board members and local advisers in new regions. During Verdane funds’ ownership, realised core companies have achieved 90% revenue growth on average.
Verdane has raised eight funds since 2003, with total committed capital at €1.8bn. Verdane Capital X, a SEK 6bn fund established in 2018, is currently making new investments, and Verdane Edda, established in 2018 with SEK 3bn in commitments is also making new investments.
Verdane Capital Advisors has over 50 employees working out of offices in Berlin, Copenhagen, Helsinki, London, Oslo and Stockholm.
