Vækst-Invest Nordjylland is a privately owned investment fund and was established in January 2008 by a number of regional and national shareholders. The purpose was then - as now - that we as co-shareholders in Jutland companies help to realize growth potential, thereby increasing the value of the company. Ultimately, our goal is to generate returns for the shareholders of Vækst-Invest Nordjylland.





The business structure in Jutland - and Denmark in general - is characterized by small and medium-sized enterprises. To date, no venture capital has been available to any significant extent for small and medium-sized companies with a turnover of less than DKK 150 million. The majority of the investment and capital funds operating in Denmark are focused on larger companies, where revenues typically exceed DKK 150-200 million. Thus, SMEs have not had many alternatives to bank-financed debt when developing and implementing growth plans.





The background for Vækst-Invest Nordjylland is to develop companies by offering venture capital, management sparring and access to a professional and strong network. The result is expected to be larger, stronger and more value-adding companies for the benefit of employees, customers and shareholders.
