Antecedent Ventures is a seed stage venture fund based in New York. We look for companies founded by people with deep technical expertise, who are solving big problems. Our sector focus is enterprise software primarily delivered as a service (SaaS) or as a cloud based application. We invest in seed and early stage deals with an expected round size usually below $4 million. We prefer to invest in East coast based (especially New York headquarterd) companies. These are easiest for us to invest in because of proximity, but we also invest in some silicon valley based companies.
We like to be actively involved with the companies we invest in and have frequent contact with all of our company founders.
